The Sure Mercies of David

Isaiah 55:3. Incline your ear, and come unto me: Hear, and your soul shall live; and I will make an everlasting covenant with you, even the sure mercies of David.

Matthew 11:28. Come unto me all ye that labour and are heavy laden and I will give you rest.
Isaiah 54:8. In a little wrath I hid my face from thee for a moment: but with everlasting kindness will I have mercy on thee, saith the LORD thy Redeemer (Jesus).

Isaiah 61:8. For the LORD love judgement, I hate robbery for burnt offering; and I will direct their work in truth, and I will make an everlasting covenant with them.

Jeremiah 32:37-40. Behold, I will gather them out of all countries, whither I have driven them in mine anger, and in my fury, and in great wrath; and I will bring them again unto this place, and will cause them to dwell safely:
V.38. And they shall be my people, and I will be their God (2Corin.6:16).

V.39. And I will give them one heart, and one way, that they may fear me for ever, for the good of them, and of their children after them: see John 14:6; Acts 2:38,39; John 10:16.

V.40. And I will make an everlasting covenant with them, that I will not turn away from them, to do them good; but I will put my fear in their hearts, that they shall not depart from me.

Jeremiah 31:31-34. Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah (in Jesus):

V.32. Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; which my covenant they brake, although I was an husband unto them, saith the LORD:

V.33. But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; after those days, saith the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people.

V.34. And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the LORD: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the LORD: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more. (Heb.10:16-18)

2Samuel 7:8-10,11. Now therefore so shalt thou say unto my servant David, Thus saith the LORD of hosts, I took thee from the sheepcote, from following the sheep, to be ruler over my people, over Israel:

V.9. I was with thee whithersoever thou wentest, and have cut off all thine enemies out of thy sight, and have made thee a great name, like unto the name of the great men that are in the earth.

V.10. Moreover I will appoint a place for my people Israel, and will plant them, that they may dwell in a place of their own, and move no more; neither shall the children of wickedness afflict them anymore, as beforetime

V.11. And as the time that I commanded judges to be over my people Israel, and have caused thee to rest form all thine enemies. Also the LORD telleth thee that he will make thee an house. (God builds, not man- Heb 8:1,2.)

Exodus 1:21 And it came to pass, because the midwives feared God that he made them houses.

1Samuel 2:35. And I will raise me up a faithful priest, that shall do according to that which is in mine heart and in my mind: and I will build him a sure house: and he shall walk before mine anointed forever.

Psalm 18:50. Great deliverance giveth he to his king; and sheweth mercy to his anointed, to David, and to his seed forevermore.

Psalm 144:10. It is he that giveth salvation unto kings; who delivereth David his servant from the hurtful sword.

Revelation 1:5,6. And from Jesus Christ who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood,

V.6. And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever.Amen.
Psalm 127:1. Except the LORD build the house, they labour in vain that build it; except the LORD keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain.

Ephesians 2:19-22. Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners but fellowcitizens with the saints, and the household ofGod;

V.20. And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone;

V.21. In whom all the building fitly framed together growth unto an holy temple in the LORD:

V.22. In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the spirit.

Psalm 89:20-29.

I have found David my servant;with my holy oil have I anointed him:

V.21. With whom my hand shall be established: mine arm also shall strengthen him.

V.22. The enemy shall not exact upon him; nor the son of wickedness afflict him.

V.23. And I will beat down his foes before his face, and plague them that hate him

V.24. But my faithfulness and my mercy shall be with him: and in my name shall his horn be exalted.

V.25. I will set his hand also in the sea, and his right hand in the rivers,

V.26. He shall cry unto me, Thou art my Father, my God, and the rock of my salvation.

V.27. Also I will make him my first born, higher than the kings of the earth.

V.28. My mercy will I keep for him for evermore, and my covenant shall stand fast with him.

V.29. His seed also will I make to endure forever, and his throne as the days of heaven.

Acts 13:26. Men and brethren, children of the stock of Abraham, and whosoever among you feareth God, to you is the word of this salvation sent.

Matthew 10:6. But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.

Matthew 15;24. But he answered and said, I am not sent but to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.

Acts 13.46. Then Paul and Barnabas waxed bold, and said, It was necessary that the word of God should first have been spoken unto you; but seeing ye put it from you, and judge yourselves unworthy of everlasting life, lo, we turn to the gentiles.
Isaiah 42:6,7. I the LORD have called thee in righteousness, and will hold thine hand, and will keep thee, and give thee for a covenant of the people, for a light of the Gentiles;

V.7. To open the blind eyes, to bring out the prisoners from the prison, and them that sit in darkness out of the prison house.

V.8. I am the LORD: that is my name: and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images.
Isaiah 53:6. All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.

Jeremiah 50:6. My people hath been lost sheep: their shepherds have caused them to go astray, they have turned them away on the mountains: they have gone from mountain to hill, they have forgotten their resting place.
Psalm 23:2 (Resting place). He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside still waters (Ezek.34:14;Rev.7:17).

Ezekiel 34:5,6. And they were scattered, because there is no shepherd: and they became meat to all the beasts of the field, when they were scattered. (Mat.13:38)

V.6. my sheep wandered through all the mountains, and upon every high hill: yea, my flock was scattered upon all the face of the earth, and none did search or seek after them.

1Peter 2:25. For ye are as sheep going astray; but are now returned unto the shepherd and bishop of our souls.
Matthew 4:13-16. And leaving Nazareth, he came and dwelt in Capernaum. Which is upon the sea coast, in the borders of Zabulon and Nephthalim:

V.14. That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet (Isaiah 4:1-4), saying,

V.15. The land of Zabulon, and the land of Nephthalim, by the way of the sea, beyond Jordan, Galilee of the Gentiles;
V.16. The people which sat in darkness saw great light; and to them which sat in the region and shadow of death light is sprung up.

Genesis 49:1,10. And Jacob called unto his sons, and said, gather yourselves together, that I may tell you that which shall fefall you the last days.

V.10. The sceptre shall not depart from Judah, nor a lawgiver from between his feet, until Shiloh come; and unto him (Jesus) shall the gathering of the people be.

Isaiah 60:1-5. Arise, shine; thy light is come, and the glory of the LORD is risen upon thee (Luke 2:29-32).
V.2. For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people:but the LORD shall arise upon thee,and his glory shall be seen upon thee.

V.3. And the Gentiles shall come to thy light, and kings to the brightness of thy rising.
V.4. Lift up thine eyes round about and see: all they gather themselves together, they come to thee: thy sons shall come from far, and thy daughters shall be nursed at thy side.

Isaiah 60:5.Then thou shalt see, and flow together,and thine heart shall fear, and be enlarged; because the abundance of the sea shall be converted unto thee,the forces of the Gentiles shall come unto thee.

Amos 9:8-12.Behold the eyes of the LORD God are upon the sinful kingdom, and I will destroy it form off the face of the earth;saving that I will not utterly destroy the house of Jacob, saith the LORD.

V.9. For, lo, I will command, and I will sift the house of Israel among all nations like as corn is sifted in a sieve, yet shall not the least grain fall upon the earth.

V.10. All the sinners of my people shall die by the sword, which say, the evil shall not overtake nor prevent us.
V.11. In that day will I raise up the tabernacle of David that is fallen and close up the breaches thereof; and I will raise up his ruins, and I will build it as in the days of old:

V.12. That they may possess the remnant of Edom, and of all the heathen, which are called by my name, saith the LORD that doeth this.

Acts 15:11-17. But we believe that through the grace of the LORD Jesus Christ we shall be saved, even as they.
V.12. Then all the multitude kept silence, and gave audience to Barnabas and Paul, declaring what miracles and wonders God had wrought among the Gentiles by them.

V.13. And after they had held their peace, James answered, saying, Men and brethren, hearken unto me:
V.14. Simeon hath declared how God at the first did visit the Gentiles, to take out of them a people for his name.
V.15. And to this agree the words of the prophets; as it is written,

V.16. After this I will return, and will build again the tabernacle of David, which is fallen down; and I will build again the ruins thereof,and I will set it up:

V.17. That the residue of men might seek after the Lord, and all the Gentiles. upon whom my name is called, saith the Lord, who doeth all these things.
1Peter 2:5,9,10.Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.

V.9. But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should show forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:

V.10. Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy.

Ezekiel 34:22-24. Therefore will I save my flock, and they shall no more be a prey; and I will judge between cattle and cattle.
V.23. And I will set up one shepherd over them, and he shall feed them, even my servant David: he shall feed them, and he shall be their shepherd.

V.24. And I the LORD will be their God, and my servant David a prince among them; I the LORD have spoken it.
John 10:11,16. I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.

V.16. And other sheep I have which are not of this fold (the Jews); them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice: and there shall be one fold and one shepherd.

Isaiah 56:8. The LORD which gathereth the outcasts of Israel saith, yet will I gather others to him, besides those that are gathered unto him.
Ezekiel 37:22. And I will make them one nation in the land upon the Mountains of Israel; and one king (Jesus) shall be king to them all: and they shall be no more two nations, neither shall they be divided into two kingdoms anymore at all.
Ephesians 2:14. (12-14)That at that time you were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, And strangers form the covenant of promise (Rom.9:4, 8), having no hope, and without God in the world:

V.13. But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ.

V.14. For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us.

Acts 2:39. For the Promise is unto you and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.

Acts 11:15,18. And as I began to speak, the Holy Ghost fell on them as on us at the beginning.
V.18. When they heard these things, they held their peace, and glorified God, saying, then hath God also to the Gentiles granted repentance unto life.

Acts 13:48. And when the gentiles heard this, they were glad, and glorified the word of the Lord: and as many as were ordained to eternal life believed.

2Chronicles 6:42. O LORD God, turn not away the face of thine anointed: Remember the mercies of David thy servant (Psalm 132:1-18).
Acts 13:34. And as concerning that he raised him up from the dead, now no more to return to corruption, he said on this wise, I will give you the sure mercies of David.

2Chronicles 7:14 if my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face,and turn from their wicked ways;then will i hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land
Ephesians 2:8,9. For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves:it is the gift of God.
V.9. Not of works, least any man should boast.

Romans 10:17. So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
